WACO

On February 28th, 1993 the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives initiated a raid on the Branch Davidian compound, known as Mount Carmel, just outside Waco, Texas.

The Branch Davidians had been unjustly targeted by federal agents on accusations of violations of federal firearms laws, manufacturing machine guns, explosives and child abuse.

David Koresh and his followers may have been kooks but the United States of America was founded on religious freedom and the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Despite glaring evidence that the Davidians were not violating federal or state laws the government decided they needed to intervene.

The ATF claimed the Davidians were hellbent on suicide and were mentally unstable yet proceeded to cut water and power lines, illuminate the compound nightly with searchlights and blare dolphin sounds and rabbits dying for hours on end, further agitating a group that had only acted in self defense.

The 51 day seige of Mount Carmel culminated in 75 dead, including 25 children and 4 federal agents. The spectacle had garnered national attention and many showed up outside the compound to demonstrate support against government overreach. Our shirts and stickers are directly inspired by those that were present, selling nearly identical shirts and stickers 32 years ago.

We simply ask that whether you agree with the Branch Davidian philosophies or not, you remain weary of the federal government and it’s proclivity to disregard individual rights in it’s pursuit of “justice”. Remain vigilant, defiant and steadfast in the principles we share and we just may create a better world for ourselves and our children.
